Yeah, and the African-American murder rate is four times as high as it was before that pic was taken. King's legacy is pretty mixed, though I know the mushy (and Southerners who've moved to Manhattan and are trying to bend over backwards to show they're not racist) still want him as an icon. I still think Obama is the better choice for Pres., but using King as an argument for community activists being capable for Pres. is not a good idea.
