KNOCKED UP

Mr. Adam, Evan, Jeffrey, Scott, Steven & myself went to go see this movie last Saturday night. It was very, very funny. I really like this director's sense of humor. But, I find the whole "pregnancy" thing, well,....for lack of a better word - ALIENATING. I mean, I don't want the miracle of child birth to impede on my life in any way. I found the movie charming in an absolutely unrealistic way. I can't think of anyone who would carry a child to term as a result of a "one night stand." Seriously. I know there are Bible thumping idiots who don't believe in abortion, but let me just say "they're wrong and stupid." I mean really, in the words of Evie Harris "I've had more children pulled from me than a burning orphanage." And doesn't that sentiment sum it all up? So in conclusion, if you're straight, like dorm room jokes, and can suspend your disbelief that this career woman kept this one night stand bastard child; then you'll have a great time, but all I kept thinking in my head during the whole movie was..."abort, abort, abort.....bring me a knitting needle!"

Funny that you and I (I think) had opposite thoughts. Throughout the movie I kept putting myself in the guy's position and I think for the first time in my life I thought, "Yeah, I think I would enjoy being a father."

When I first saw the previews I thought, "stupid", but everyone who has seen it loved it.
